Practice areas

Six disciplines. One standard: we have done the job we are recruiting for.

Schwartzman Group recruits exclusively in accounting and finance. That focus is why our screening holds up in the interview, and why the hires hold up after.

CFO-led · 15+ years in finance leadership.

How we screen

Resumes describe. Screening verifies.

A resume tells you where someone sat. It does not tell you whether they can close a month without heroics, build a forecast a board will trust, or defend a tax position under review. Before any candidate reaches you, we test for the work itself.

  • Discipline-specific technical questions written by someone who has managed the function.
  • Walk-throughs of real work: a close calendar, a reconciliation, a driver-based model, a provision.
  • Stage and environment fit: multi-entity, multi-currency, regulated, lender-reported, or pre-audit.
  • Reference conversations with people who supervised the work, not just people who liked the person.
